Lightbulb Temp Gauge & Double Throttle removal

Hey guys I've got a 93 Tr...I'm gonna be installing an Autometer Ultra Lite carbon fiber series temp gauge and also was going to remove the double throttle plates to clean up the intake tract. Well I was hoping you all could give me some pointers especially if u have done these mods. Like removing the double throttle plates...does this hamper any daily driving reliability...besides having to wait a couple extra minutes to warm up the car or being light footed on the throttle till the car fully warms up...? On Rob Robrobinette's site he states he suffered from boost creep at higher RPM levels when he performed the mod. And about the Temp gauge what is the easiest place to install the Temperature probe? On Robs site he mentions tapping the coolant filler neck...recommended or not.....? Any recommendations or hints about those two mods would be greatly appreciated...and as always thanks fellas..Tony
