The Standard Question (first Upgrades)

Hi there, I have a 1988 Rx7 Gxl

Im looking into exhaust, not prebought but bent, with hightemp mufflers, and maybe presilencers..... and yes i know they run hot, and could burn out the standard economy car mufflers, but what if i use mufflers for hi temp applications/ and or / presilencers?

1. What size of pipe for exhaust? headers to back 13B N/A

2. What Mufflers, I heard Reactive are nice
but i want a really foriegn sound, with gradual peak in
volume. and high temp application only

3. is no cats okay? i hate cats....

4. is true dual okay on N/A? or should i stick with a collector style...?

5. Its about 250 bucks for all new pipe... headers etc... im hoping to keep total exhaust price under 450.. possible?

6. is there a blueprint/ drawing of how i should have the headers look?
how the pipe should be bent for maximum airflow?

thanks

You nailed it, standard question. It's been asked hundreds of times. There is a search button at the top of the page. You will find anything you need to.

sounds to me like you have searched and found answers not to your liking and are looking for validation to do things half-assed ... if so, then i doubt you will find what you seek.

if not, then forget all that Ractive-nonsense and go with Magnaflow or Walker/Dynomax if you must have a custom-built exhaust system. Racing Beat or SDJ can supply the header.
