spark question

what would happen in theory to power, ease of starting, and stress on internals if one were to run timing equal on both leading and trailing plugs?

any help or ideas will be much appriciated!

thanks!

X Mazda dealer tech, been told that there is a 5 to 10 hp gain useing the factor specs for timing. And all that I read says that the late T timing cerates gas cushen to soften the flame front of the L from hitting the T apex and thus reduec knok noise

Well, it depends. The difference in timing between L&T is referred to as split, commonly.

From watching debates around here, there's a lot of conflicting opinions. Some people have gotten adventurous and gone to 0 split and supposedly picked up some HP, whereas some have found that it seems to reduce power. I don't think there's any hard and fast rule.

There is also supposed to be a difference whether it's FI or carbed.
