SP20(protege wagon) drag car?

Just a question for you guys.
How well do you think a Protege wagon (SP20 here in NZ) would be used as a drag car? The wheel base would be fine I think, but would the rear wheels be too close to the rear of the car? they are set back close to the rear but I am not sure if this would be a problwm.
I ask as I am thinking of buying a wreck and making it rear drive and build our other 20B to power it, also here in NZ we will be able to make this road legal too.

any thoughts?

Just want to consider something a biut different and new rather than use the old school 323 we have.

What's the point? For less $$$ you could take a AE86 or S13/S14 and turn it into a very fast car. Try swapping an RB25DET in an S13 for a hard project. Or make it right-hand drive and put an RB26DETT.

Those are just a couple of my ideas of a cool project. Converting a FWD car to RWD seems pointless when there are so many cool RWD cars.
