Siguel Racing

About the siguel racing, I just called IDRC and they said that Siguel Racing was not one of the racers this weekend at the Finals. Unless he went 6.98 in Puerto Rico or at some other event then the rumor is not true. The Escort 300zx ran a 7.3@180mph which is a record for IDRC. NIRA did not hold a race this weekend. I am gonna check the puerto rico tracks also and find out if he ran 6.98 but it looks like the first 6 second door slammer import is still not aquired yet. I will also call Siguel Racings shop in puerto rico to find out. The car is still the **** though

entiendo muchacho! I was just saying that the 6.98 run that someone stated that he ran was not done in IDRC or NIRA. Jose could have possibly made that run but it wont be in the import drag racing record books until he does the 6 second run in a sanctionated import drag racing event and then he has to pass the scales. I hope to see him run the first 6 sec. That gives us rotorheads mucho braging rights

Yup, they are building a full chassis 3rd gen with 3 rotors!!! I cant wait till next season. There will be alot of racers de puerto rico running their new cars. Pimar is going to a turbo engine(he ran 9.0 off turbo) and the starion should be making some dope horsepower. 6 seconds is a definate for next year Jose de siguel racing will be the one to do it first.i think that Jose will do it the first race of the year. The rotary will dominate next year as it does every year. Lascano will be beefing up his turbo system next year, and watch out for the old BAM BAM car, next year he will be running a Pported T-72 alcohol engine (rumor) Note: Bam Bam went 8s with No TURBO!!! CHRIS TELL US SOMETHING IF YOU ARE BACK FROM CALI?

Sorry this isn't about the rotary drag cars but... Does anyone have any idea what Sakura is up to? Last I heard of him was like a year ago in Turbo Magazine that he set a world record (not anymore though) for imports. Is he totally redoing his car or is it just that he is running and hasn't brought it to the US for awhile? Any info would be appreciated.

Sakura was here in new jersey last summer. Rumor has it that Sakura plans on being the first into the 6 second range. I heard that they are trying some different turbo setups and some head porting combinations. Who knows PR will dominate as usual

Hey Greg!
Actually the Escort 300zx was not the one that ran 7.38 that weekend. It was the Blast twin turbo 300SC Lexus. They did that on their license run which BTW. was for their advanced 7.50 and quicker licence. This car have ran in the 6's at home in japan.
