Question semi pp + rotor beveling

I am wondering if I can use bevelled rotors with my present semi peripheral configuration , or would there be too much overlap ?

Go for it! I'm sure the P.R guys do it. It's just a matter of tuning and carefully ported and built short block.

wait...are you going to also run the side intake ports? I don't see how you would really gain much. If you close them? They would be a hell lot lighter though. Worth a shot. I for one would love to see how it works.

I dont understand U here , what I have presently is a larde street ported motor with a pair of 1.5" perephial ports , I am thinking about cutting the rotors to mave the side ports open earlier .

question: in terms of port timing as the engine stands now, which open first, the side ports or the peripherals?

if that's the case, then beveling should be fine, i think. for some reason, i suspect if the peripherals opened first, then you might get some kind of crazy "early-to-mid-RPM-stumble"-thing happening. it's just a feeling, not quite a theory since i have no basis for it. maybe one of the engineer types can confirm or dismiss it. personally, i'm curious now.

you may want to shoot a PM to Ito or the gentleman that built that semi-peripheral 20B a while back - i can't remember the username, but if you would like i could help you look it up. speculation cannot match actual experience with something like this, no?

it was GTORx7's thread. so you might want to PM him as well to see if you can get any insights to your question. all that i ask is that you share whatever you find. fair?
