s6 into 88 TII
ok i recently got a great deal on a s6TT engine and ECU......i am going to attepmt to stuff it into my 88 TII chassy. I am going to remove and block off all emissions and convert it to single turbo while the engine is in the garage....will the TII 5 speed hook up the the FD engine? Does anybody know where i can get the motor mounts? Can i use the FC coils? Has anybody done this swap successfully before? And is a mid level mechanic able to achieve this feat in short time? Basically i need to know the minimum of what is needed and needs to be done to get the engine to run in my TII? thanks for always lookin out for us rotor heads guys!

I believe the TII tranny will work but you'll have to use the clutch/pressure plate for an '89-91 TII. The s6 rotor weigh the same as the s5 I believe so the s6 flywheel should work fine. I believe the motor mounts will have to be custom made.I don't know if anyone makes any you can buy. I found this thread that might help some. Sure there is more threads on here if you search.

The swap is not worth it IMNSHO.

I recommend welding in a custom crossmember and using the stock FD engine mounts.
Can i use the FC coils?
FC coils and ignitors? No.
The FD fires the (trailing) ignition differently than the FC.

Not many have done it.
There are many more Cosmo 13B-RE conversion, cause the engine mounts are easily available.
The 13B-REW swap into an FC is a royal pain in the ***.
