s5 bearing and opr question

i'm doing a performance rebuild on a 91 turbo and am a tad bit puzzled.
i've read that most recommend an fd front oil pressure regulator and adjustable one in the rear, along with fd front bearings and 3 window race bearings in the rear.
my question is why?
it'd be easier for me to just do fd everything.
i'm doing a pretty typical rebuild along with streetport, race clearancing, circlipping (still debating this one), and higher pressure e-shaft oil jets.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
