s/c ?, don't yell at me :)

Ok, I was reading some threads about supercharging and they were saying that there at certain types of superchargers that will run a constant (mostly) amount of boost throughout the RPM range.

It seemed from what they were saying that if you only ran a few pounds of boost (~4-6) that you didn't really need to add any aftermarket fuel or control systems.

I tried to ask this question in that thread and all I got was "don't do a damn sc, go turbo you can get more power!" NO ****!! I know a turbo will make more power for the money when you're going for big power.

My thing is I'm NOT going for big power, I just want a little more pick-up when I hit it. I'm sure you get the picture now so what type of other equipment would I need to run a small supercharger on my 87 GXL and would it be possible to run one without any aftermarket equipment at all?

If all you have to say is
"go turbo you'll get more power." Then don't respond please.

THANKS GUYS
