rx8 rotor CR alteration

Has anyone played with the idea of lowering CR on the rx8 rotors? Does anyone know how to calculate static compression on a rotary engine? I remember something about approximate trochoid curves, but its clearly not Gramp's chevy we are talking about here. We all know the rx8 rotors are lighter and made from better material, so why can't we just figure out some way to open up the bowls on the rotors, lower the compression, and drop these things into a turbo motor.

Lets get some good ideas going here...

Why not just CC a combustion chamber on a turbo rotor and cut out an RX-8 chamber to match?
