RX8 Eshaft Balancing Specific

I have an RX8 E-shaft, and through research on the board I have seen that the general consensus is that there is no need to get the rotating assembly balanced.

My two 'resident rotary experts' have expressed concern that it should be balanced.

The reason for contention is not that the RX8 Eshaft is .6lbs lighter, its where it is lightened. My two friends contest that the lobes (technical term?) that the rotors sit on are lightened as well and would thus through off the counter-weight balancing.

Does anyone have any input on this specific matter?

the eshaft is balances against itself, the rotors are balanced against the counterweights,

so there is no reason to rebalance just for the rx8 eshaft.

Thanks,

Specifically I am using 9:7 Rotors, S5 counterweights, ACT Streetlite, RX8 eshaft as a rotating assembly.

if your intending to run high rpm, balancing might be a good idea anyways, I personally wouldn't exceed 8K unless the rotors have been clearenced and the rotating assembly balanced

I was planning on a rev limiter at 8.2k. I am still using stock seals. I do plan to auto-x and race it, so it will see high rpms for somewhat of sustained times.
