The "keg" is under 200 pounds, the fully assembled stock motor is just a hair under 400.

greetings and welcome to the board.

i think you'll find that if you actually try to undertake this venture, weight will not be your major concern.

thanks, maybe it's not a problem in a rx7 but I'm trying to build form scratch a caterham a 1000lbs(454kg) car it's for touge and trackday use soo a good distribution it's Essential and i want to make the car with more horses that kg soo dhl says the complete engine that i buy last year weight 546,7lbs (248kg) more almost 400lbs to make the 26b equal to 945lbs (429kg) more the car)=1763lbs (800kg)
I don't want a caterham with more that 600kg 1322lbs) for enumerates reasons the best way i see it's stay with a 13b rew project for now.

very wise decision. by the way, it didn't really matter much what car and what logistics you were facing, my comment was more geared toward the fact that you're not going have an easy time just joining two 13Bs to make a 26B - ergo, weight was going to fall quite short of some other "MAJOR" issues you'd be facing.

good luck with your Caterham.
