Whats the conversion rate for rwkw to rwhp? Anyone know?

For instance 450 rwkw is equal to about what in rwhp?

I'm kinda in the dark as I don't even know what rwkw stands for.

Any info would be great guys. Thanks.

RWKW stands for Rear Wheel KiloWatt's

the conversion is :

kW*1.341=hp

hp*0.7455=kW

Simple, 1kw = 1000watts and 746watts = 1hp

soo...

450,000watts / 746 = 603rwhp

Or if you really wanted it to be easy you could just remember to multiply the kw by 1.34 and that will turn it into hp

I don't think there is a conversion for that since the manufacturer picks what they roughly want the bhp to be and the rwhp is what it actually is. Not only that, but also every transmission will be different from car to car (manufacturer wise) and they will have different drivetrain losses. So, to sum it up, if there was a conversion for bhp to wheel hp, it wouldn't be accurate.

there are engine dynos that will accuratly get you the bhp. but why you would want it is a different question

Mazdas tend to have 8-10% powertrain lose but most vehicles have 10-15%

Some dynos have a coast-down feature which measures the drag of the drivetrain after the engine run. Once this is determined, it can calculate the drivetrain loss. It's still not all that accurate. The only reason I can think of to find bhp is to compare engines.
