Is Running 19 psi on a stock motor safe??

Is Running 19 psi on a stock motor safe??

Just out of curiosity. Is running 19 psi with a T-78 single turbo on a stock motor safe!! And should I port my motor soon so I can run higher boost safetly. Whats your take guys??

I never went over 16 psi on my old car... but then again I didn't blow the motor either. It seems like 17 psi is about the max that most people run (i.e. not Steve Kan or hardcore racers). I personally wouldn't push 19 psi... but I guess I'm a chicken!

I used to run 21psi on 93 octane gas on a stock motor with no problems, it's all in having the right fuel supply, and proper tuning.

This guy has his head switch on the right way, he is exactly right.

provided you have high enough octane gas and its all int he right state of tune, then you can run upto around 30psi without troubles
