Exclamation Ruff Idle Help!

I just tuned up my 1993 RX-7 by putting in new spark plugs and spark plug wires, I had to of course remove the throttle body out to put in one of the spark plug wires. While I was at it taking the throttle body out the gasket of course broke, so I used gasket sealer and closed it back up again. When I started my engine instead of having a smooth start up the engine was running rough, it wasn't a steady sound the RPM was above 1000 then when I tapped on the gas a little it dropped to about 750 RPM and sounded like it almost was about to shut off. I then cut the engine off feeling nervous. Got any clue what's up with this? Is it cuz the gasket sealer isn't strong enough so there is a vacuum leak? Or you think its something else? For you people out there who changed your spark plugs out there help!
