Rotorys How Do They Respond To Mods?
I'm totally new to Rotorys and I'm wondering how well they respond to modding. Like mod for mod, start with the basics (exhaust, intake, stuff like that). How well does it respond?
Both dyno wise and butt dyno (seat of your pants).
Thanks guys.

on a n/a, exhaust mods will be vary noticeable...even more so on a TII. Mazdatrix clames like 28% rwhp (rear wheel hp) with a true dual setup.

Intake on an n/a, like a cone on the AFM type intake, wont be noticeable in my opinion, also, now your breathing in hot engine air. On a turbo that type of itake will be notice..boost increases.
Exhaust mods are noticed tremendously!!!

Any rotary will respond very well to intake and exhaust and that includes a TII.
Exhaust especially. You'll find that fitting a good 3" exhaust system will increase boost slightly as well as allowing the car to breathe better, which will give a noticeable increase in power.
You'll have to be careful and get the work done by someone who knows what they're doing, to make sure the tune remains fine. I'm not sure how much the stock ECU can take (stock ECUs don't last long in Oz) in terms of mods, but hopefully someone else can shed some light in that regards.
If you let your rotary breathe you'll get some good results from it, and have a lot of fun too!

My 89GXL N/A made from 128rwp to 160rwp with just bolt ons and no stand alone ecu or porting. Mods are listed. YOu wont find another car that will give 30rwp with bolt ons.
