Rotary Resurrection

As some know im going back to a rotary engine and doing a total rebuild on the car. A 93 vr r1.

I still have no idea on which engine I want to go with?
i know what i want to do if I go with either a 2 or 3 rotor.

This car will be a weekend driver. Gas mileage is not a concern. I will be running 104 octane in the tank though.

I'm thinking of adding an aquamist system on top of a 3 row intercooler.

I just wanted some opinions from everyone on what i should start on first.

1. The rear end.
If i go with this should i get a Cusco or Kaaz. I will go with Chromoly 300m axles.A tubular A-arm to replace my ppf, since i will be moving the engine back.Nothing fancy like carbon fiber driveshaft this and that.K.I.S.S
2. Electronics.
E6K or TEC3.Stack system.autometer boost and egt gauge.Thinking of removing all stereo equipment, but seriously doubt it.Fan temperature control.
3. Interior.
Red Sparco fixed driver seat.Red Sparco adjustable passanger seat.Roll cage.Not sure on anything else. Maybe remove heat and air controls since it will not be a winter car and has a/c already deleted.
4. Engine build.
Too much to worry about right now
5. Suspension
Nothing comes to mind on what to do

paint job will be last.

My goal is either a 550hp 2rotor or 700 hp 3 rotor.

1. i kinda like Kaaz LSD . what ratio will you be going for ? Carbon FIbre drive shaft would be sweet.
2. As for going Stand-alone ecu , there are alone more to choose from E11k , Motec or Microtech or even a HKS FCON V PRo. With Motec system you will have a solid ecu with many features but it will burn ur wallet . You can have a very basic stero system and hook up a hd to play mp3. that would cut the weight a bit.
4. mmm.. if 550 is your mark on 2 rotors. porting would be a must . may be PP ? 700 on a 3 rotor is easy . but the turbo manifold would have to be customed cause i do not think they have one for it ..
5. i see that most go for tein type HA or RA. HA are for sport, street and track. RA are for track and circuit. (if i remember them correctly) but be warned they transfer every bump and crack on the road to your *** . You can get softer spring for the HA . no sure about the RA.

ive think i will be going with a mp3 player.i can download 100 songs and be down with it.

As far as porting goes, ive though about a bridge,but instead im looking to maybe a huge streetport.This way i do not have to worry about that little bridge crumbling and/or breaking the water o-ring.

The rear end ratio im either looking at doing is either a 4.10(what i have now) or a 4.77. The only thing about that 4.77 is the low top speed.But then again i do not think i will ever need to go over 155 mph.

The reason im looking at the e6k or e11k is because it is a proven ecu just like the motec.its just motec is about 5 times as much.My car will never be a race car.So i see no reason for a motec and all its datalogging tools.my stack digital cluster that i will be buying already keeps a close eye on engine systems every 15 seconds.pretty cool huh.

With the tein's im sure it wouldnt be much different than what my car does now, following every curve in the road and hitting every bump like it is a rigid frame chopper.Tein i hear has new system out where everything is digitally controlled.That would be pretty cool.

I'm going to go with chuck's scoot replica hood though.Ive seen fitment pictures with his compared to the original, and his looks more of a true copy than scoot's.But there is certain reason i will go with this hood.Not just everyone thinks it is cool.it will provide a ram air effect to the intercooler.When I resituate the engine back in the bay it will sit lower.Also the lower intake manifold runners will be shortened.I will be mounting the intercooler on top.I might also bread box the upper intake manifold.This would reduce some weight and get rid of alot of unnecessary holes that are usually blocked off.Then throw on a single BBK throttle. body on it.

Huge street port would be better and more safe ...agreed
why not comprimise and get a 4.44 end gear ratio.Kaaz has it i think. Mm..digital cluster ? hehe where you getting that from ? defi ?
Yeah TEIN has now electronic suspesion but i don't think it would help much for that extra ching ching .
Are you not worried about heat soak from the engine to ur intercooler ? Why not a V-mount cooling system but with a larger Intercooler . With a vented hood like mazdasports and aftermarket front. Heard not about good things about the V-mount .

It will heat anywhere in the hood. i will probably end up installing an aquamist system.But good observation.

But i just ordered a load of MOMO interior gear today.
The new millenium lmd edition steering wheel
a shift **** and boot
ebrake
some guages
recieved a free manual transmission pedal set too for ordering so much.

ive also checked on buying seats.not being satisfied i will custom suede leather ones made.They will be yellow with purple stitching and embroidering.I will tell you later on what i get embroidered,can't say right now.

Oh and the digital guage cluster is by stack inc.

THe next things on my list will be a roll cage,stack guage cluster, then a tec3.

**** the renesis...that **** is weak with no torque ...single turbo 2 rotor with monster street port.

Plus i just got some extra money. So im looking to spend it.haha.

I am thinking of skipping the stack guage cluster right now. Just go ahead and buy my KAAZ L.S.D, Panspeed roll cage,,toe links, and trailing arms.

I am going to have the roll cage leather wrapped also in yellow with pplum stitching.i will first paint the cage black though. So the end pieces where they are welded(if they end up showing)will not be raw metal.

Seats are on hold until i know definitely for sure what i want,but yes they will be yellow.

You do realise it will cost at leat $20k to do a 3 rotor the right way don't you?

20k is that it?

If you have read earlier posts,you will have seen im not exactly sure which rotary i will go with.Ive also said this will be a few year project.20k will be nothing once im done.i spent 2/3's of that on my 2 rotor upgrades.
