Rotary questions
My Dad and I are gonna rebuild my13b. He dont want to mess around so he asked me to locate new rotor housings. Any suggestions on were I can purchase them for a good price. Also I want to build it more than stock(porting) and I will not us Nitros are 2mm apex good enough if I say buy them from Atkins. Also can we port the motor ourselves. My Dad is an engineer and has a lot of machine shop experience. Is there like a site were I can get a template to lay over the stock port that shows how much you can port it out too.
Got the motor ready to lift out all by myself in just two evenings. Labeled every wires, hoses dad said not bad for a 17 year old.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Intake porting template:

A 1/4" die grinder and double cut carbide bit works well.
New rotor housings for a good price....This is what everyone wants.
I have seen some new ones go on ebay for around $300-350, but these are few and far between. I would highly reccommend spending your energies on locating low mileage/low wear housings. These are much more common, especially ones pulled form low mileage J-Spec motors. Find on honest seller and ask specific questions, this has worked well for me. You can usually pick up great condition housings for $100-150ea.
Other suggestions:
Use FD corner seal springs. Buy turbo rotor housings, or replace the exhaust inserts (do a forum search) w/ turbo ones (makes for easier porting).
