Removing OMP and Front Cover Oil Flow Question

I removed the OMP on my REW motor. Attached is the picture of the inside of the front cover and you'll notice that a marker line has been drawn on the flow of said oil. The question is, can this oil passage be plugged or does it have to be left open? The concern here is that one or the other may cause oil pressure to drop (hense the missing components), and thus oil starvation and negative consequences.

I looked through the factory manual and they don't tell you things like that and the oil flow diagram doesn't indicate well enough through the front cover what is going on. Is this passage only for oil flowing to the (now) removed OMP and thus it can be blocked with no negative effects?

Help!!! This is the only thing left for me to finish assembly on my motor and timing is appreciated but accuracy is preferred!

That little line feeds ONLY the MOP.
With the Mop actuating gear removed, if you do not block off that feed hole on the iron/front cover, you will experience front staionary gear/rotor bearing failure.

To block it off, I tap to fit a allen-headed set screw and use red loctite to secure it. I tap into the aluminum front cover.

Sure thing. I'd much rather see another happy REW engine runnign around than one dropping front bearings and leaking oil.
