removing air pump??

removing air pump??

what does removing air pump do?? Can it be done with out converting to single turbo?? Im trying get more space in my engine bay..

The airpump is used to feed air into the catalytic convertor. Alot of people remove it when they take out the main cat. Dont remove it if you plan on keeping the cat or you need to pass emissions.
Easy way is to buy the Greddy pulley set. Comes with 2 pulleys and the belt to bypass the airpump.

well i have mp,dp,and an exhaust thats supposed to be here tom,,so bye bye mr. air pump!!!!

I dotn know about 3rd gens, but the Airpump does more that jsut suply air tot he cats on 2nd gens.

It send air into the intake system, and it also activates some valves.

I suggest yhou post this int he 3rd gen section so you could get a more defined answer.
