quick comp ques.

hey guys. i'm in the process of completely stipping an 87 rex i just picked up for 300 bucks. i have all the plastic and dash out and i'm looking at the egi box under the passenegers feet.

i'm planning on buying a tII or fd engine for it and want to know if i need any of the old electronics. not quite up to date with all the power fc and haltec stuff. will something like that completely take over all engine management? that's all i need to know.

thanks.

If you want to swap engines with a t2 or fd, you will need the ecu that corresponds to that engine. Or yes, you could get a standalone and it would take over all of the engine management functions. Come to think of it, this thread should prolly be in the engine management section.
