Q about performance intakes

I just have a quick question about aftermarket intakes, such as the HKS dual air intake. In the stock configuration, there are many hoses leading to and from the airbox. What happens to all of these hoses if you replace the airbox with a single filter? Also, if anyone could tell me what the hose on the upper right (as you are looking at the airbox from the front of the car) is for, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks,

Tyler

With the HKS intake (I suppose you're refering to a FD since you said "dual air intake"), the two bypass valves shoot into the filter piping (there's two holes where the filter connects to the piping, one for the incoming air towards the turbo, and one small one for the bypass valves), the smog pump has a hose connecting to the plastic duct thing in front of the I/C, and the hose that come from behind the intake manifold doesn't suck in air so the HKS filter kit has some weird tube that it sends the air through to make some throaty noise which is kind of annoying.
When I installed mine, I put in a BOV which left one of the small holes in the filter piping open, and since the original intake had it shooting air into the airbox, I just routed it to the extra hole in the filter piping.
