push-in/instant fittings
Has anyone tried running those "push-in" or "instant" fittings normally used for airlines as vacuum lines? The lines i have found are good up until about 240F. These are a much cheaper option to run off of my vacuum manifold than traditional -an lines. Obviously, lines where it might get to hot will still have to be the stainless lines (ie wastegate) but plumbing lines with these seems like it would be 1/4 of the cost of braided lines and they are easy to disconnect and do not blow off.

You gotta pay attention to where you run them.
If it gets too hot, the hose will get soft and collapse.
I've had better luck with them then silicon lines though.
You can get different thicknesses from any Parker or hydraulic shop dealer.

You are talking about macroline. It is used in paintball guns when people are too cheap to buy a stainless braided line. They can handle >200psi. I wouldn't use it for a wastegate line for risk of melting; it (nylon 11 tubing) is rated for -60 to 200°F.
