Lightbulb

YEH ! That did occur to me ,but I expect it to suffer the same faith , even the M2 replacement ,which costs $500US ($3500TT) , is only 10% stronger than the stock one ' and I hope to increase my cars output by about 40-50% so I think I'll try one of our skilled local fabricators , by the way I saw them make a "X" brace for the back there which also sabilizes the diff. and bolts to the four mounting points for the sub-frame,it works great and is real cheap!.

I must have pictures of this brace Please...

I've welded several broken PP frames and also reinforce them with pretty good success...

The big chunk of metal that bolts on the end of the transmission and goes to the diff case, the drive shaft runs along side it...

Lightbulb "X" Brace

I'll try and get a pic.up but as the name suggests it is in the form of a large letter X ,and made of square section tubular steel with an attachment point for the diff in the centre of the X frame where the both lengths meet ( the original attachment point on the diff housing) .The X- frame then attaches to the sub-frame attachment points under the car via four "ears" welded to each of the four points of the X.
