OS twin plate clutch?
Hi All.
I have a problem with my OS twin plate, When i depress the Clutch with the engine running there is a loud metalic rattle coming from it.
I have done a search and found there was somone with a simalar problem, this guy was pointed towards the wrong Throw out bearing.
I used the bearing i got with the kit but i admit it looked stock, Could this be my problem? if so does anyone know where i can get hold of the proper bearing and what it would cost?
Cheers
Chris

Problem? I think all twinplates rattel.
Mine rattles. (OS twinplate in my rx7) The 10wheeler mac dumptruck at work has a twinplate and it rattels. I think they all trattel. Its the floating plate in the center just bounching around cus it has nothing better to do when your clutch is disingaged.

Twin plates rattle, for the most part. As far as the TO bearing goes. If it is stock you need to change it out. It's only a matter of time before it will burn your clutch up. You can use the mazdaspeed TO bearing or the OS bearing.

It's normal you dumbass!
Seriously, the sales guy who sold you the clutch should've warned you about the extra noise.
We run a triple plate OS Giken on the 20B, and it sounds like bazillion marbles in the transmission!
