Instead of ballast he should stick a fatty system in there with a couple of 10s in the trunk and blast it down the track! Imagine getting beat by a nearly 20 year old car with full metal and glass and a bumping system! BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Funny thing, I was jsut reading TURBO on the throne this morning, and for the first time, read some of their race scene coverage, I am not a big reader of racing events, more for the technical artilces, however I was shocked to see not even a mention of the word rotary in the all motor class, just honda blah blah blah, vw blaha blah..
I was thinking why no rotary? Not competitive? Then I read this thread.. yeah baby yeah...
I am starting to remeber why I never got into and then even stopped following NHRA racing, its got a socialistic type attitude to the racing which seems to be an attitude of convenience when it comes to who its applied to, if it was big name sponsor oem car or something like that, crushing the field, the car's superiority would be allowed, as the NHRA would know that merchandising the products associated with that car would be quite profitable, especially with the licencing agreements the NHRA likes to make..
But when some no-name brand never heard of enters some old car and cleans the clocks of the gainfully sponsored, and raises the bar, the bar is automatically lowered to suit the ousted, bottom line, NHRA sucks, this is like a bad rewrite of the 1960's mopar domination of NHRA, penalize the crap out of them till the lose or just quit out of frustration...Max

i should probably start a new thread about this but too late!! Ari called me today on the way back from the atco event and here was his quote "i got my *** handed to me on a plate in the second round" by what you ask? i supra that ran a 9.41 @150+ on FREAKIN drag radials!!!!
now what do you guys think about this problem? the supra supposedly makes around 1100RWHP and weighs in at 2900lbs! how is Ari ( or anyone) in the street class going to compete with this? drag radials ?....****!!! oh BTW he is using a stock 6spd tranny! i dont believe any one (correct me if i am wrong) with a rotary has even run a nine with drag radials.
this is kinda the same scenario as the all motor class but reverse. there is no way a two rotor can run that kind of ET and even a three rotor on gasoline will be hard pressed to make that kind of power. so you see we have a interesting scenario: we go from absolutely dominating the street class and being unheard of in the all motor class to the complete oposite. we are .4 seconds ahead in the all motor class and .6 behind in the street class. What do WE do?????

Ari knows what he have to do to compete with Titan's(Nero's) Supra! It comes in the cosmo and like they say if two is good three must be better! The problem is that with the NHRA having most of their racing two weeks apart there's not much time to develop a new combination. It's all about matching your competiton on their level with what you have. Never under estimate your opponents in this sport. The level at which performance is developing lately you have to think a couple of years ahead if you're going to be competitive in this sport. That's why my 3-rotor is sitting on an enging stand waiting to get drop in!
Crying and complaining to the NHRA is not the way to do it but that seems to be the easy way out for most of these Honda cry baby racers!
Even the Queen of the FWD's told me that she's totaly fedup with the entire scene!

Ari needs to have a semi PP Engine 3- Rotor
Turbo/Fuel To match that new powerplant and
Ditch the Haltech and go with a MTX-12
and get the car Dyno Tuned
get the new Pettit Racing rear fender flares and run bigger Rims/Tires
and He will have no problems running low 9's
But dropping a 20B just a week before a New event is not going to have enought time to R&D the New Setup
BTW I live 3 Miles from Titan's Supra Shop

He ran a 10.3 today in the finals

He is playing with all the hondas runnning 10.8's most of the time
But if pushed this car is capable of hitting 9's

shagday had 409
kilo had 365
shagday did not make it to the finals
so he gets 10 pts for qualifying
and 40 points for (i think) making it the 1st round of eleminations
Kilo gets 118
being #1 qualifier 8 pts
win 100 pts
10 pts for qualifying
So Kilo should takes the points lead now!!

Guys,
Already been there, Ari picked up a Microtech MTX12 from me a little while ago. Not sure whether he has used it or whether he is just being a smart racer and learning before breaking. This should stir the pot. Yeah Baby!!

Another impressive Florida car was the 1981 Toyota Corolla from the Rosado Racing Team. This Toyota Corolla runs in the Modified class. Toyota tips the scale @ 2,330lbs(Toyota Corolla even has working headlights) He uses a Toyota Mr2 2.2 twin cam engine, alcohol fuel. He won in the Modified class running a solid 8.05 to 8.09 . congrats to Rosado team too...
