came across some of these videos while looking for a few races Isami Amemiya competed in himself. didnt find any but i did find these vid's....

theres actually a ton of em... jss seemed pretty packed with nissan and mazda. interesting to see keiichi behind the wheel.

probably a dumb question but what is the point in him hitting the gas when hes got the clutch put in and braking for a turn?

Heel-Toe Braking, it`s a downshifting technique. If you try to downshift without matching revs, you`ll rape your gearbox.

Ah makes sense. I just always held in the clutch and braked then when I was ready to accelerate pop it in the gear it needed to be in and rev it up and go, but I also am assuming he is using the gears to slow down a little faster also.

You should never hold the clutch in when braking because you want the engine to slow the car down with your braking, which is why you go down through the gears when downshifting...also you dont want to hold the clutch in while making turns either...
