Oil pump series interchange
I am building a 13B engine with S5 plates, and can't for the life of me remember if the REW oil pump will mate to the front iron. Can anyone tell me? I'd prefer to use the superior pump if it fits onto the earlier plate.
Has anyone taken a look at the design of the RX-8 oil pump here? I'm curious to see if it a) fits, and b) is any better in design compared to the FD unit.

does anyone know if the rx8 oil pump will work on the FD block or older?
atkins has the rx8 pump for $59 while the FD is $162!
come on guys lets save some $$ with rx8 parts if we can
