Noob questions

I am new to the forum, and I've been looking around at quite a few different things, but what I'm looking for I can't seem to find.

I have a Carb'd 12a and I want to pull some more power out of it. Is there an inexpensive way to do this? What would be some mods I could do besides exhaust and intake?

Sorry if this is very vague, but I don't know rotaries. Yep. Pure rookie.

What do you mean by "inexpensive?" If you consider a good carb, intake manifold, and full exhaust system inexpensive, you may as well rebuild and port the motor. It isn't difficult if you have tools and a video, and really helps you learn.
