NA exhaust and distance to the first restriction
To those of you who have experimented with pressure wave tuning on your NA exhausts, how far away did you find to be optimum for your first restrictive device in the exhaust? Like the highflow cat . . how far away from the exhaust ports should it be? Anyone?

you cuould do an experiment with the cat and a few interchangable pices of pipe. mix and mathe between the header and catback until you find a good combo. i think thats going to be the only hope short of advanced fluid dynamics (not trying to be a smart ***) to find an answer.

If you pick up a Racing beat catalog.. (I am at work or would look the numbers up for you.. ) It lists the tuning collection points for various engines in N/a Configuration.
I Believe it is like 118 inches long collected.. but I will look it up when I get home and edit or reply to this thread.
They list best power they got with various configurations.. all using 2" diameter runners.. for a 12A and ported 12A and 13B and ported 13B.. When I say Ported I think it was referring to Bridge ported..
Anyhow I will look it up and pop it in here.
