I'm planning on buying a N/A over another TII for reliability reasons, but I do want to be working on the car and racing it. Can someone tell me which models came equipped with LSD and the TII suspension?

And also, is anyone selling theirs?

This should be in the 2nd gen forum & you would get alot of answers. I know that the GTU, GTUs, and GXL do. Not sure about others. Look in the for sale section, ebay, autotrader, teamfc3s.org classifieds & thepartstrader.com for used 7s.

 

Kim307- If you want the T II suspension in a N/A 2nd gen, you need to look for a GTUs, maed in 1989 1/2 and 1990 model year. The GTU was the base model with regular suspension, the GXL had the 15 inch wheel package. The GTUs has the 16 inch wheels like the Turbo II, LSD, plus a 4.3 rear axle ratio instead of the 4.10 as in the GTU, GXL and T-II, stiffer struts and larger diameter sway bars, plus a lower 5th gear ratio. It has the better speed sensitive steering, rather than the engine rpm sensitive power steering assist. Also leather-wrapped Momo steering wheel and shift ****. Aluminum hood, 4 piston front brake calipers, special corduroy sport seats, delete power window option, delete cruise control, delete sunroof option, delete most other luxury features for weight savings. Don't expect a smooth ride. Mine rides like a stock car....but it corners like a snake. Good luck finding one. I bought mine new and will probably keep it forever.
