is my bridge to thin?

the bridge on my BP are about half the width of the corner seal, is this bad can it fall out? is this is bad? can i fix it with some welds and resurface the side hosings?

i dont have any but what i wanna know is if i can weld the hosing to pix it ,and then resurface it

it would be easier and probably cheaper to just report different plates
