I was playing around with launching(never done it before) and i took it up to 3k and just let the clutch out fast. Well my car jumped forward and tried to stallso i puched the clutch back in and let out of the gas. I Did the same thing to a RX i was looking at buying and it took off like a rocket spinning the tires and making preat power. Why will my car not do this? Is it clutch , compression help me out here. Just want to know why my car will not launch. Both cars are stock but mine is an s5 and the one that launched right is a s4. Thanks in advance guys.

what tires are on both? what about road conditions and ambient tempreture? There are a lot of factors that could effect this.......

You probably need to launch higher. At the strip I launch mine at red line.

After giving it some thought I realized that if you're launching at 3k you need to feather the clutch a bit, you can't just dump it.

ASE_Joe The tires on my car were less than 30% tread at the time and the 87 SE had brand new tires. I tried to launch my car earlier in the morning and the 87SE late afternoon around 6pm so the road was pretty warm.

Efini i dont think I am willing to launch my car at redline Its my baby and has been very good to me. I appreciate your input (it was probably the only real helpful anwser to my question) but i dont thinki am going to be launching anything until i get my project car.
