Just ordered a 13B 4 port Street port, need advice

I just put an order in for a 13B at mazdatrix.
-89 high compression rotors & housings
-12a side & center housings
-streetported with standard racingbeat templates

It will be fuel injected (TBI) somehow, that’s what I'm not sure about yet and need help. It will be strictly NA (hence the 89 rotors) since it will be going into a daily driver where reliability & drivability are key. I'm trying to find out more about microtec and weber (new unit) TBI systems. I also don't know if I want to run a dizzy, to make it simple, or go with something that will control ignition too.

any comments will be appreciated...thanks.

Off topic, but what is the benefit of using the 12A side & center housings?

They have more casting, and can be ported further. My Q is... are you using GSL-SE rotor housings?

not necessarily (spelling?)
you *can* cut in the coolant seals...

sounds like a good project.
as for the TB injection, i will post pics up next week of a car set up w/ TB injection using this new setup.

it runs 8 x 1680cc injectors.
the TB i posted a pic of can be had in a 4, 6 or 8 injector setup depending on your needs.
i would personaly run a dizzy and find an old haltech F9 or F9-8 if possible. if not, i would get the new F10. this setup (dizzy and haltech fuel computer) has been proven time and time again to run some of the faster cars around the world....

rxrotary2_7,
I was hoping you would chime in. I look forward to seeing those pictures.

do you have 13b manifolds for that TB? For what I'm going for... just a streetport, only NA... I think the 4 injector TBI would be enough, right?

I'm gonna look into those older haltecs...thanks.

yeah, 4 port manifolds are available.

but to be completely honest, not available until after the new year. the boxes are sitting there waiting to make molds then be poured, but there have been a couple things holding up production.
there are 18 of the TBI setups done except for machining the butterflies. should be done by xmas. manifolds to follow.
me personaly, i would go with atleast the 6 injector setup even if you dont need it right away. reason? you can always just block the injector holes up with bad injectors for now, and if you find you need more fuel down the road, you can pop good ones in and go from there. also will allow for more versatility of the TBI setup.... if you plan on going turbo down the line, you will have the extra fuel ready to go... just pop on a new plenum hat. and BAM. done.

BTW, the hats have been redesigned and more boxes are being made to produce more of them. they have been reinforced in the areas they were weak before and would not hold up under high boost.

frode... hopefully, its running alcohol

I'm sure that TB would work on RB's Holley intake also.
