JDM Motor Swap

Hey everyone, I just bought a 93 R1 rolling chassis. I'm planning on putting a JDM 13b in there. I have the stock ecu and harness completely intact on this car. From what I'm told, the JDM motor will bolt up and plug in easily. If anyone knows otherwise you'd be a big help. Thanks in advance.

How about putting in the Cosmo 13b-rew instead? It's a better engine, although a bit more work is involved to put it in right. Depends how much money you want to spend and how far you want to take the project.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get the rolling chassis for? Everything but the engine? Pics?

The motor is in now. I went with a Mazda Reman. The car ran great for about a day and then I started having some low vacuum. I've been searching forever, and I think I found it. The only thing wrong is that my little nylon tubing from my boost gauge to my manifold is snapped in half by the firewall. I think that may create a small leak...duh.

Im glad you went Reman, no reason whatsoever for a JDM motor "yo", there is no performance differences between them. (if your talking pre 99). If you want to stay twin, look into getting a pair of 99spec turbos. Better effiency and better turbo's overall.
