J/S Safegaurd with a/f gauge

you guys that have used this product what do you think about its ability to prevent knock? also the a/f gauge that goes with this how does it perform ie accuracy? Is this worth purchasing if i can get a good price on it?

Well, what did they say?
One A/F gauge is as good as another, resolution isn't good enough to be sure of what's going on. Unles you're getting a wideband.

Hopefully they explained that it doesn't prevent knock but rather retards timning on the leading ignition to help eliminate the knock. The J&S isn't a cure all but rather a tool that can help save the motor from knock.

The display is worth having so that you can see it light up when timing is being retarded. The J&S won't prevent you from blowing a motor if you ignore the warning on the display and keep your foot on the gas.

the tech from mazdatrix said that there opion is, its not worth it. b/c to tune it correctly you have to get it to knock and thats not good and you need to to control both leading and trailing. that was just his opion. he also said with the proper tuner theres no need for the j/s.
