Sup guys. Was nice to see Dave, Ryan, and Ray. My first run was against my arch rival/friend who has a 744rwhp Supra. All this power and I still smoked his ***! I ran a 11.00 to his 14 sec pass. My next pass I broke the knuckle that attaches to the diff from the axel. Reative Racing swaped out my axel assemblly in "NASCAR" fashion....(190mph hr...lol) Willie, Demetrios, Joe, and Kenny were running around my car like chickens with their heads cut off. Anyhow, I made the quick 16 with my first pass and with the new axle in place, I made it for the last call. I raced against a 650 AWHP Stealth from AAM. Once again the RX7 prevailed! I went another 11.0 to his 11.6.......
For the next race (quick 8) I was paired with the #1 qualifier. I wasn't too happy. Anyhow, thats why we race, right?! SO, off I went. This was a Supercharged Mustang running 10.20's all day. We line up and I have to say I've never left as hard as I did against him. I cut a 1.500 60' and had him the whole track till about the last 4' of the track. (litterally) He beat me by .004 of a second!!! I ran my best of the day....10.90 @ 126mph.. The best thing about the whole day is I drove it home, without calling in a tow truck. I had a blast and couldn't have done it without Willie, Demtrios, and Joe. Again, thanx guys....
BTW...I got all my runs on video, so I'll email them to Vosko to post...

I still cracks me up all these tools saying they have more HP than a Top Fuel meet yet run high 11s or slower!

 

A 744 rwhp Supra and 650 awhp Stealth beat down when your giving up 200-250 hp - gotta love the FD. Too bad you didn't get that Mustang but if he was running 10.2s all day then I wouldn't be upset - you still almost beat him. That makes me laugh about the Supra..typical dyno queen

lol that is the slowest 744 rwhp (if it has it)supra i have seen in my life at 412rwhp i did 12.6 and i rarely if ever go to the track .
this guy was asleep at the line..ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Nope. Surpras always rave about HP yet they dont perform as well as the HP says it should. They get beat more than they win. I have been waching races for years now and bought lots of videos and thats just what I have seen.

 

What happened to him (the Supra), did he stall the car or just have too much wheel spin. Running a 14 even stock is not good, so what did he do wrong??? And about that clip of Ari...do you actually count that as a Supra whipping an RX7??? No that's a racer (what the heck Ari...c'mon) redlighting the race and giving it away. Notice he didn't run down the track because it's stupid to waste the car on a run that won't count. So neither of those videos are good comparisons for any of you doing the bragging here (except that both of those cars are stoopid fast! )...

Actually, I think my 7 isn't too shabby.....

 

Good Job putting it down!!! Especially against that VR4...those owners don't take loosing easily...check the kill section if you have time LOL...you almost had the MUSTANG...if you had gotten another chance against him..you'll probably beat him!

 

I'll say final score = 9.002 @ 160mph....hate to say it, but GG!!

 

ErnieT I must say again...you're car IS the **** (far from just "not shabby"), I'm just stating that they aren't very good comparisons that people can judge the OVERALL performance of those types of cars (for some reason people see a car beat another and they immediately assume "Hey, car X is faster than car Y so I'm not gonna buy car X because it's slow"). People usually just see something and take it as law, and I'm just trying to see that go away.

Ernie, The links for these video dont work anymore. Would you please send me the video or let me know how to find them. I have a friend who has 700RWHP Corvette running 10.4 or something and he will not believe me at all that you ran 10.2 that day on street legal rx7. He wants to see the video. He is so sure he can take you....I just wanna show him the videos i can see the face he puts when he sees them. He doesnt knw much about RX7 and he thinks our cars cant do **** and that wont touch him. I just want to put his hopes down a bit and show him what rotaries can do.

Well, the good news is you can get the vid's from Vosko. The bad new is I never ran 10.2.......My fastest et is a 10.73@ 128mph....
