Okay so I just bought a 91 NA RX-7. I really just want to get about 200 hp out of it. What's the cheapest way to do that? I've been working on cars all my life but never played with a wankle before but I'm still going to be doing all or most of the work myself. The finished engine is going in a street legal auto-X car.

streetport the same engine,change to carbon seal or race steel seal......and put either carb like a 48 IDA or fuel injection ,and good tuned exhaust system....thats critical.

I just did one for a road racing car using the same engine on 48 IDA making 205 WHP on just the NA Motor for SCCA Racing..

That's along the lines of what I was expecting. I'm going to keep it fuel injected, any tips on which system to use? I was considering a megasquirt because of the low cost.

 

If you have never tuned a car before go with the MSII or PFC.
MSII kicks *** for the price, There is lots of info on using it with a 13b.
Download TunerstudioMS and play with it a little get used to where the menus are and i think you'll like it.
