I need a good battery

My battery has been located to rear compartment and its not powering enough. I had somebody to check it out and when they put load on the altenator it would kill the engine. Also, If I crank the car when cold, and cut the lights on, if the engine goes dead the battery does too(then I have to wait about 5-10 min to let it charge back up. Im not sure what kinda battery it is but its about the size of a motorcycle battery(if not smaller).
My guages barely light up, I cant see the numbers on the boost guage and the radio cuts off all the time. Is the battery the cuase of that?? I want a small battery that will fit in the compartment. What battery?? I also dont want the most expensive battery there is either, I just want good battery thats small enough to fit. thanks in advance.

Optima batteries are the best, but they arent really small, and they are kinda heavy. But they are defenitily bar none the best, most powerful. They are filled with paste so there is no leaky acid junk, and they last a long time, coiled inside, so no internal plate shorts. they run about 115-150 bux depending on where you get em. You might want to take your car to a shop and make sure the charging system is good and you dont have any draw when the key is turned off. if it all checks out then get a good bat. and enjoy.

I think your problem is the alternator. The battery is only used to start the car, the alternator keeps it running. Optima does make half size batteries, but I doubt you need another battery.

Get the alt. checked.

Optimas are good, but heavy. If weight is a concern, (it should be, imho) look into a Hawker's Genesis series.

The altenator was checked. The altenator was fine. When a load was put on the altenator the car would want to die out. The battery is a oddesy 929 or something like that. If I start car and it dies becuase of cold start then the battery dies too and wont power enough to start the back . How could that be the altenator??

Who checked the alternator and how? If the car wants to die under a load, the alternator is bad.

This battery wiegh about 8lbs, 5" all the way around, 4 inchs depth. Replace the battery and everything works like it should. The guages are still a little dime, but the dimmer is broke, so that might have something to do with it. WHO CHECKED THE ALTENATOR, trust me you wouldnt know them.. I will have somebody recheck the altenator though. But my prob is gone
