I dynoed my FC

I dynoed my car on Saturday. Its still running pretty darn rich (as you can see by AFR on the dyno chart). I had to back off around 6700rpm because my wastegate spring is WAY too big, its an 18psi spring when I ordered a 10psi one... oh well, the new one was suppose to be here by now, we'll see.

353.5 rwhp
279.5 rwtq

p.s. This pic of the dyno sucks. I had to take a pic of the sheet with my digital camera and post it. I don't have a scanner

Did you back off or did it have ignition break up? if you were letting off, it would have died off, not start to climb up again, then die off at the end? As far as running rich, I'm glad you had the wide band hooked up. At the top end, I think the 12 to 1 ratio is about as lean as you want to run it with out getting to lean. Taking some out early on would help in the mid-range, but I'd leaev the high rpm range alone. 12.5 to 1 is to close for my comfort, 12 to 1 is nice and safe while making obviously a nice rwhp curve.

I backed off because of my boost curve. I have an 18 psi spring in there and it started up over 16 psi (where I wanted it to stay). I have a 10 psi spring on the way and I should be able to easily run the boost that I want with my AVC-R. I'm pretty positive that I could have got more out of it, 16 psi at 8000 rpm vs. 16 psi at 6500 should have been a bit more power... but I'm slightly content for now.

The top end AFR is right where I want it. I think the wideband read out 11.8:1 at my rpm peak, which in my opinion, is where the whole power curve should have been.

I'll get it tweaked out this winter. I'm also gonna replace the exhaust with a straight through 3" setup, get an FD intake, water to air IC, divided tubular manifold and either a .96, 1.0, or 1.15 divided housing (its a cast, undivided manfold with an undivided .96 housing right now). I'm expecting over 400 to the wheels once I get it all ironed out...

Damn, thats some nice numbers. A friend of mine made 231 rwhp and 254 ft/lbs at 12 psi. He was thinking of getting some larger injectors since he has a Japan (Redom...like in the japanese magazines) ecu later and maybe the higher flowing stock turbo upgrade and maybe go to 14 psi. Might make crack the 250 to 260 rwhp with that set up or so he hopes. Any ideas since you know a good bit more than he and I about the TII.

Relevent mods for his car : K@N intake, stock IC, down pipe, midpipe, some cat-back I can't think of the name of, the Redom ECU, underdrive pulley is about all I can think of off the top of my head. BTW the turbo is still holding in there nicely with over 150K miles on it (knocking on wood).

I go through ideas like a baby goes through diapers. I don't know what I want. I do want a liquid to air setup... but I'm not sure if I'm going to do it or not. My main thinkings were that I wanted something different, something that not every t04 FC would have... but I don't think I'm going to do it right now.

I'm going to go with a big custom Spearco up front, change out the exhaust housing, put my FD intake on the FC engine and a couple of other things...

Last night, we stripped the car of AC, PS and removed a bunch of other crap too... I'm considering ditching the ABS. What do you guys think about that?
