Question How to silent the beast?

I just got done wiring and building my 13bt S5 Aux Bridgeport project. I took a ride in it for the first time to a friends BBQ with no problem. The coolant temps stayed at about 180 degrees and it drove alright for having a base map. My question is, how do I silence this beast? I drove it tonight with an open down pipe and I knew it was gonna be louder then all hell. What kinda exhaust system are you running to keep he DB's low? What components should i take into consideration? Soundclips anyone? I'm in the magical kingdom of no emissions.... Miami. Thanks

sweet, do you have the s5 N/A rotors?
If so thats the exact same setup I'm running Are you actually using the sleeves and actuators? or do you have a t2 manifold?
just curios, what EMS are you running? I got megasquirt (no trailing coils for now, lol)

oh, and to answer your question, I have a RB DP with a holllowed cat and an otherwise pretty stock exauhst... It worked pretty good till i blew the back walls of the mufflers off from backfire/tunning issues.

Cool Silencing the beast!! What I DID!!!

WOW!! Is all i gotta say when i read straight downpipe!!! How many car alarms did you set off? Well, Racing Beat sells a good exhaust system for your App. otherwise you could do what i did. Im non- turbo so i had header to the racing beat pre-silencer and then the stock exhaust but it made it sound hella ricey plus it was so much air that it was leakin like crazy. So i went to a muffler shop in livermore to put a universal racing muffler that i got when i bought the car. they cant work on it unless it had a CAT so in the end i ended up goin Header to Stock CAT to a smaller resonator to muffler (with a silencer that i hate but its safe). its still pretty loud but its quieter and lesser of an attention grabber.

yeah, i think the turbo help a lot with the noise. a header on an N/A is gunna sound like bumble bees no matter how you can them. I think an open DP with a turbo is almost streetable.

Well i'm a turbo bridgeport(aux). The turbo is a t62-1 with a 1.15 hotside and microtech lt8-s I just finished doing a quick exhaust with similar to stock mufflers 2.5 inch inside with blitz tips. Before the mufflers ive got 2 resonators(duel exhaust). shes still kinda loud which i want but alot quieter then before so im happy. I got 30 miles on her so far driving with using the pedal with the idle at 2500 so after about 1000 miles ill dyno tune and the beast comes out
