how to make a 93 more reliable

Hey people,
Im about to buy a 1993 Rx7 touring package (if conditions on car are right) and would like to know what you would suggest doing to the car to make it more reliable, and faster. I will have about 1000 in cash right away. So i need to know what you would do.
I am going to add a A/F guage, water temp guage, and boost guage. I am also looking at maybe a KOYO or FLUYDINE radiator. I believe the car has a exhaust system, but im not sure. I will go to see the car on saturday for a test drive, compression test and all the other goodies. Please give me any imput,
Thanks

Rats nest (vacume jungle gym) needs to be replaced with silicon vacume lines and secured with zip ties.
