High Performance Engine Swap

I bought my RX-7 two years ago and have heavily modified it. Right now I'm using a single turbo HKS T04R turbo setup. My car currently puts out a little over 500 hp and can run in the high 10s in the 1/4 mile. This is cool and all, but I want more power. I've heard that some people have made special harnesses and have done a lot of rewiring, but have inserted a 2JZ-GTE engine into their RX-7. I'm currently looking at doing this. Is there anyone out there with any information or an opinion on this project? Any feedback is helpful, thank you.

If you want to to do that, that guy with the 2jz in his yellow rx can prolly help you. Do a search on the internet you will find it somewhere. so the 2jz has been done, why don't you stuff a rb26dett engine to be different. These can make just as much power as the 2jz (1000hp+ on race gas). if you don't mind doing a little cutting and fab work, you can do anything.

the problem with that kind of swap is the car will never go straight again, thats the problem the guys at xs engineering(i think thats who did the swap) had with thier car. the supra powerplant is so much heavier it threw off the suspension gometry big time

I'll do the swap for you for 50kusd, sounds good??? Sonicrx7, how old are you? Im little curius? Speaking of supra, 2 days ago there was a17 year old driving a 650rwhp supra(yes, he had his sheets to prove it ) The sad thing was, its his first car. Maybe his parent dont love him. The car was very nice though.

roflmao, this is great, where I live there's a catholic high school near by where all the rich people send there kids, and there are like 7 c5 vettes there. They like to race each other, but they come out to race real cars and get smoked by near-stock FDs.

I live in Puyallup, and I sure havent seen your car running around. You must have a lot of racing experience to be running in the 10's with a T04R.
