HEI for a REX????

Has anybody out there converted a REX to GM's HEI moduals? I'm not talking about 3 coils, direct fire, etc. I'm talking about getting rid of the $$$ igniters and useing the $20.00 GM HEI modules. People with V-6&8 do it all the time. How about a rotary? Thanks.

HEi is just GM's name for electronic ignition.

Rex is a Subaru model. I am assuming you have an RX-7 and not a Kei-class Subaru.

The modules will work with no modification other than changing the terminal ends on the chassis wiring to the ignitor (simple) and adding a pair of jumper wires to go from the HEI module to the pickup (also simple). I posted the wiring info in a thread in the 1st-gen section last month.
