Has anyone ever used an exhaust clamp for a cat converter?

I bought a cheap *** 3" stainless steel cat with no flanges on it. I have a custom 3" dp welded to a midpipe. I need to add a cat for emission apparently so I was going to weld on the flanges that look like a football so I can bolt it in. Issue is that the flanges are like 20-30 dollars shipped and then... I found this:

Would it work as well? This is for a larger turbo setup so I'm wondering if it can handle the pressure.

They work really well. A lot of the corvette owners use them. I've use them on several occassions with great results. Just make sure that you get the right size and you put some high temp silicone on each end before you put it on so that it will give it a really good seal when you tighten it up.
