Half bridge and staged injection thoughts

As I understand it, one of the things you need to do with a bridge or peripheral port engine for best low-rpm, low-load running is to properly time the injectors so they don't start injecting until after the exhaust port closes. (Am I right so far?)

Given that, it seems like the best thing to do would be a half-bridge setup with large primary injectors. (similar to the GSL-SE with only two 680-720cc/min injectors) By the time the center ports open up, the overlap period is practically complete and no matter when you start the injection period, it's unlikely that any of it will blow out the exhaust. In effect, the overlap period will only be handling dry air.

GSL-SEs idle quite well with 720's, but by my calculations those injectors will only be good to about 200hp, because there's only two of them... but if you could have staged injectors and choose when they come on line...

I mean staged... basically similar to the way the 4-injector factory setups work but instead the secondary injectors only come on-line when needed instead of at only 3800rpm, which is cruising speed on the highway.

with the haltech you can set the staging bar for the secondary injectors for whatever manifold pressure you want, normally this is around 1 or 2psi, it is manifold pressure dependant not RPM dependant.

hope that answers your question
