Guage Advice

Recently on this forum, i was informed that since i had the RB fuel cut and exhaust combo and the FC was feeding my ECU incorrect info, i might want to get a "real" boost guage and check things out. I have looked into getting a new guage but ran into a problem... where to put it. i looked at pods but the only ones i found were the 52mm pods. This excluded the HKS guages since they were 60mm. First, can anyone recommend me a brand of reliable guage to use. Second, if these guages are only in 60mm styles where can i get a pod for an 87 that will fit. Third, is there another guage i should buy. Ive heard that A/F guages are worthless and it would be better to buy an exhaust temp guage instead. Im new at all this and still trying to learn so any input would be much apreciated.

Thanks,
Troy

I use Omori. Very simple and they dont draw my eyes away from the road by being too bright. Very no nonsense look about them. Like old VDO gauges almost in their simple, utilitarian look. I have a 46pi boost gauge in front of the spot where the stock gauge is. It goes up to 1.6bar whick is OK because I don't even get close to that. You can find some that go up to 2.5bar or even 3bar, but if you are only pushing 0.6 or 0.8 then what's the point? Other good gauges to have are oil temp, water temp, and oil pressure. These should be your next purchase. After that then EGT, fuel pressure, and A/F gauges are good when you start playing with tuning the car.
If you want pretty gauges, go for Apex'I, Defi, or Blitz. The Defi are cool because thet hook up to a control unit. Kind of like a network hub. There are new Blitz gauges that are super lightweight and untra thin. I'm not sure if they are available in the states yet. These are pretty cool.
