Gouge in housing, is it trashed?

I recently took my motor apart and had the housings and irons sent to rx7store for porting. I didnt really get to inspect the housings before they were shipped, and they noticed a gouge in the housing near the exhaust port. Its not really deep, but you can feel it.

Is the housing reusable? The rest of the housing looks great, Im ready to put the engine back together, and would rather not have to spend the time and money on another housing and getting that one ported too.

Its not the best thing to have but it wont kill it bc its on the exhaust cycle there anyways so there really no power loss...but it would be best to replace...but i wouldnt worry.

Delslow- def. reusable. The combustion part (part by spark plug holes) is what really matters. U have to watch out for flaking around the edges by the combustion portion of the housing. bad seal = lost power

Just make sure it doesn't have any sharp edges that stick above the chrome surface. If it does just file it flush and it'll be fine.

And i thought mine was bad when my motor went. I still had peices of apex seal embedded in the housings and rotors. Oh yeah, and my rotor faces caved in. lol
