Exclamation Got my first timeslip!!! PLease analyze my ET's and give me some advice!!!!

Made it out to the track yesterday, it was so much fun, I think my car is gonna strictly be a 'track car' now.

Anways, got a few runs in and this was my first time out, I started out racing a BPU+ Supra and we both were pretty pathetic newbies. I ran a 14.6 to his 14.4. But we were both having problems with traction, as was everyone else at the track, wheel hop was a considerable problem for me.

But here was my best time, it was my 4th run.....

60' 2.026
330 5.576
1/8 8.492
MPH 86.54
1000 10.964
1/4 13.04
MPH 108.77

*This was at 10-11psi!!!!!

The rest of my runs were all around 13.2 with crappy 60' times but my 1/8 were all about the same.

My mods are in the sig, for some reason I wasn't boosting my usual 14psi, the boost was fluctuating all over the place really, bouncing between 10 and 11.

I'm fairly happy with the time, I think if I get my 60' down and have my normal boost, I am definetely mid 12's material....

Any advice?

Looks great to me. Assuming you were on street tires, your 60' time is very good.

Congratulations!

BTW, I didn't see an aftermarket cat back in your sig. are you still running the stock unit?

I have a GReddy J-spec cat-back, as for my tires, they are the AO32R's(an R compound auto-X tire) I had to lower my pressure to 5psi because the side walls are so damn strong, after I got them heated up pretty well they would hook better but I still got wheel spin.

The 2.0xx 60' times show very nice launching, for a newbie.

I wouldn't recommend dropping your A032R's THAT low just to go drag racing.&nbsp You'll end up tearing the sidewall reinforcement due to the sidewalls flexing so much!

If you want serious drag tires, go buy some!&nbsp Don't be wasting your other tires trying to get good launch times...
