Lightbulb Gauge brand/type of choice

I searched but found really only pictures.

My question is, what brand and type, mech, elec, or dig, do ya'll prefer for gauges. i need some gauges in my FD, starting with a AFR and Boost/vac. i will put a wideband so please exclude the cheap factory run off of narrowbands unless it can run a wide band as well. and i would really prefer accuracy. peak and holds and memory i'm not too worried BUT are a plus. style matching is also wanted but coloring... eh... i'll figure somethign out on it =-)

go for it guys. thanks for the help to decide =-)

I use Defi's link series as do many on here. Nice simple, classy look, plus with the control box you have the ability to record the gauges for a certain amount of time.

is the controlled system, (ie defi link or apex-i el2) any better then the single counterparts? i dont' mind wiring them seperate... wondering if havign them controlled by a single box is any better? does allt he info goto the box then the guage.. like if i have a boost/oil temp.. connect to controller, then controller sends signal to gauge? also i can't decide on 2 things...
1: should i do apex-i or defi gauges, since i wish to "try" to follow suite of 1 brand for everything... ie apex pfc, avc-r etc.

2: i'm definately getting a boost gauge, i found out previous owner replaced the stock sending unit with an aftermarket, brand unknown. so i can't decide on a second gauge, i'm gonna relocate the vent and temp controls to lower console... so i basically have to get 2 gauge

afr seems pointless unless i get a wideband... which is 350+ but apex and defi dont' make, it would have to be an oddball gauge.. excluding that factor... is a wideband gauge really nesseceray. if i dont' do it, the apex-i turbo timer shows what a reg auto meter afr gauge shows anyway.... hehe.

oil temp seems good since now i have base model with only 1 oil cooler but also i can monitor the coolers gettign heat soaked or not when racing,

water temp i dont' think i need if i changed the sender right? or do i HAVE to put another gauge and then have 2 of the same thing....

dunno what else i coudl do... fuel pressure?

thanks. i know theres plenty of threads probably on this. i've found like 5 but theyr'e mostly pix liek i said. i may be wrong if i am i apologize.

The link series from defi are easy to install that was one big plus for me. All you have to run is one harness from the control box to the gauges, then from the box run the sensor wires.
I have Boost, Water Temp, and EGT right now in one of FlyRX7's pods. It all comes down to your taste in terms of what you want. If you want everything to be Apexi then stick with that.

Do a search on this subject and you'll probably find a ton of threads debating between brands and whether you should get Mechanical or Electrical.

Defi gauges are typically what everyone has or everyone wants. They are top notch quality and second to none.
